Navitas Enhances Oil and Gas Measurement with Quick, Seamless Implementation and Immediate Results from Quorum Software

Navitas Further Automates Midstream Gathering and Processing with Addition of Quorum for Oil and Gas Measurement

Houston – November 7, 2017 -- Quorum, the leading software innovator for the energy industry, recently announced that Navitas Midstream Partners, LLC (“Navitas”), a producer-focused midstream company, has enhanced its natural gas gathering and processing systems by adding additional Quorum midstream capabilities, including measurement for natural gas and liquids processing.

“Quorum takes great pride in leading software innovation for midstream oil and gas, and our solutions encompass more than 20 years of experience serving the industry,” said Perry Turbes, Quorum president and CEO. “It is a privilege to work with Navitas as they enhance their natural gas processing systems with Quorum’s measurement software, and we look forward to continuing our partnership as they grow their business.”

“We began our partnership with Quorum two years ago. They have gone above and beyond to exceed our expectations as a software provider,” said Gokul Das, Navitas vice-president and CIO. “When we decided in April 2017 to replace our measurement system, we reached out to Quorum to streamline our gas and liquids measurement into a single platform without having to spend additional capital to augment the existing software and database architecture. From seamless implementation, data migration and data accuracy to exceptional customer service, we have already seen a difference in our results. Our internal and external end-users are extremely satisfied with the application flow, processes and performance. Quorum understands the industry and current challenging market dynamics. They fully appreciate what it takes to help grow in a difficult market.”

Exceptional Customer Service & Support

Navitas acquired its natural gas gathering and processing assets serving Martin, Midland and Glasscock counties in Texas. Initially, Navitas decided to keep all of these assets on their existing supporting technology for simplicity. After the initial transition period, Navitas approached Quorum to help standardize its natural gas and liquids measurement software on Microsoft technology.

In addition to standardizing system architecture, Navitas was experiencing performance issues with its previous software and technical database support. The company was also looking for potential opportunities to lower costs directly impacting the bottom-line financial performance. As a Quorum customer for two years, Navitas was familiar with Quorum’s exceptional customer service, support and value, leading them to expand their portfolio of Quorum midstream software.

Seamless Implementation

The project was exceptionally well executed, going live after an aggressive four-month implementation which included full data conversion from the previous software. Quorum’s team ensured accuracy and validation after data conversion to Navitas’ satisfaction.

The Quorum measurement system put into production in September 2017 has already exceeded the expected results:

  • Single technology platform and enhanced performance.
  • Streamlined processes to better meet internal / external customer needs.
  • Seamless data transfers between systems without user intervention.
  • Simplified data extraction.
  • Quicker customer settlements and access to their measurement data.
  • Access to data for proactive analysis.
