Quorum Software Enters 2020 with Strong Momentum and a Commitment to Customer Centricity

Cloud-based oil and gas software concludes 2019 with record-breaking implementation count among enterprise oil and gas companies

HOUSTON, February 4, 2020Quorum Software (Quorum), the leader in digital transformation for the oil and gas industry, today announced a record year with implementing 115 enterprise projects across upstream, midstream, and transportation in 2019. Growth drivers for software deployments among medium and large oil and gas companies include pressure to drive organizational efficiencies and streamline operations. Businesses are meeting these imperatives by implementing solutions quickly for faster speed to ROI.

“No matter how volatile the marketplace, gaining operational efficiencies will always drive business value,” said Gene Austin, president and chief executive officer of Quorum Software. “As a customer-centric organization, we have been focused on delivering an exceptional implementation process, so that our customers can go live on an accelerated schedule to realize their return on investment quickly. Today, we’re standardizing how we deliver enterprise software and achieving a four-to-six month shorter timeframe for projects that would historically have taken at least a year to complete.”

In 2019 alone, Quorum solidified its position as a market leader as a result of advancements in three areas:

  • Future-state land management in the enterprise today: Apache Corporation selected Quorum’s suite of land management solutions to combine insights for mobile lease acquisition, web-based lease management, and division order in one single view. Additional Quorum projects include upstream implementations for Marathon Oil, CNX Resources Corporation, EQT Corporation, and CCI. Quorum also gained momentum as a preferred solution in Canadian land management with the implementations of the myQuorum Land Suite for Canada at Imperial Oil and ConocoPhillips.
  • Rapid upstream deployment increases ROI: CNX migrated its legacy production revenue accounting and division order system to Quorum in just ten months. Quorum created a rapid implementation methodology that allows enterprise customers to accelerate speed-to-ROI using industry-standard configurations that satisfy complex business requirements without requiring customizations. Using this methodology, Quorum decreased deployment times for upstream solutions by 50-60 percent for mid-cap to enterprise-level customers.
  • Rapid midstream deployment increases speed to value: Quorum also streamlined the process of deploying solutions for midstream and transportation companies. Doing so has ultimately put Quorum in a position to deliver a quality solution and drive the speed to value for clients. For example, Quorum helped a leading Houston-based midstream company bring five gas processing plants online in three months to support the company’s acquisition strategy. Additional Quorum deployments include Xcel Energy, Crestwood Midstream Partners, Phillips 66, and Harvest Midstream.

Building on this momentum, Quorum is launching a new program, Enterprise Customer Care, designed to bring all of the customer-facing organizations within Quorum under one umbrella to enhance the customer experience. This program includes a new Customer Success team, which will focus on overall customer satisfaction and advocating for customers. In tandem, Enterprise Customer Care will feature a product-centered helpdesk model, robust training program, and professional services organization that will continue to evolve rapid deployments and standard configurations while emphasizing employee development.

“The momentum of 2019 has positioned Quorum to reshape customer expectations when it comes to implementations, especially for our upstream solutions,” said David Townsend, EVP of Enterprise Customer Care at Quorum. “In 2020, our Enterprise Customer Care organization will be charged with delivering a seamless experience for our customers. Our ultimate goal is to drive positive feedback on the end-to-end experience with Quorum, and the launch of the Enterprise Customer Care program is a commitment to align our organization to our customers’ needs.”

In 2019, Quorum invested an additional $4 million to strengthen its customer experience. Incremental investments included hiring additional support team members, augmenting its cloud infrastructure, doubling the number of quality assurance resources, and laying the groundwork for the Enterprise Customer Care organization. Quorum is projecting to increase its investment in customer experience by an additional 10 percent in 2020.
